Award Categories
Nominations are open now through January 31. Both self-nominations and nominations of others are accepted! APR membership is not required to submit a nomination or to be nominated for an APR Recycling Leadership Award.
Oustanding Leadership
For individuals who have made significant contributions to the research behind the APR Design® Guide or who have gone above and beyond to advance recyclable packaging design within their field.
Recycling Technology Innovation
For innovative recycling equipment or technology that improves the quality and/or yield of post consumer recycled resins.
Package Design Innovation
For materials and packages that solve longstanding recycling challenges. Nominations will be accepted in four packaging categories: PET Rigids, HDPE Rigids, PP Rigids, and PE Films. Nominees must have received APR Recognition for their product or be in process of getting APR Recognized.
Post Consumer Recycled Content Utilization
For companies that have greatly increased their commitment to the utilization of PCR. Nominations will be accepted for both Total Usage (across multiple product lines) and Unique Applications (the use of PCR in products that do not typically utilize recycled content.)

Awards winners will be announced at the annual Plastics Recycling Conference, March 24-26, 2025 in National Harbor, MD. Winners will also be invited to showcase their innovations at the trade show.
