After a period of stagnation, there has been a swarm of merger and acquisition (M&A) activity recently, as the post-Covid landscape offers those with strong balance sheets new opportunities to invest and acquire.

Issues concerning recycling and waste management are rarely far from the headlines, and last month was no exception. The North American Association of Plastic Recyclers called for more investment in collection and infrastructure across the continent, after a survey revealed an 8 per cent rise in plastics recycling since 2017.
