Things to Do in Austin

At the Hotel

The outdoor heated pool boasts a scenic view of Austin from seven stories up. Swim and enjoy island-inspired cocktails and food from the rooftop bar. Zanzibar, the tropical rooftop bar on the seventh floor, is the perfect place to escape without leaving the hotel.

Within a 15-Minute Walk

You don't have to travel far to experience Austin. The Austin Marriott Downtown is conveniently located near a variety of dining and nightlife options. But just because we're downtown doesn't mean you can't enjoy nature as well—we're just minutes from the Colorado River.

  • For classic Texas barbecue: Try Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que.
  • For upscale dining: Try Dean's Italian Steakhouse or Lonesome Dove.
  • For something different: Try Swift's Attic or La Condesa.
  • For more nightlife: Try Rainey Street or 6th Street.
  • Walk, run, or bike along the Hike & Bike Trail.
